ZIN Technologies has over 50 years of design, build, and integration experience with a history of providing advanced technology solutions to industry, national research institutions, and government agencies. We provide successful power solutions for land, sea, air and space that encompass complex standards and stringent requirements. For example, our power conversion products have been on nearly one hundred NASA space missions with award winning performance.

ZIN Technologies has over 150 engineers, designers and technicians located at its facility in Cleveland, Ohio. We are ISO-9001 certified and we have clearance for the Department of Defense work.

We provide full PDR/CDR documentation, finalized drawings, and GANTT/milestone charts. We qualify and test each unit for full EMI (MIL STD 461E), as well as shock, vibration and environmental testing.

Let ZIN Technologies take your power conversion needs from Concept to Reality

ZIN recently provided power conversion products for the following projects identified below :

° 2004 Shipboard Redundant Power for Home Land Security (Azimuth)

Designed and produced 775Watt 4 output hot swappable DC/DC supplies for the surface ships of the U.S. Navy. The supplies power the equipment for security at sea and are N+1 redundant, conformance coated and fully operational to 100% humidity.

° Ion Master - 5 (IM-5) Ion Source Power Controller

The IM5 power controller provides power for an end hall type ion source for advanced thin film processing.  This power controller provides anode and cathode control of the ion source as well as the gas control for a mass flow controller.  Front panel control allows for stand alone operation.  The unit also provides an RS-232 interface for remote computer control.

° Space Acceleration Measurement System II (SAMS-II)

This is an inertial measurement system for mapping acceleration environment from .01 to 300 Hz within the International Space Station (ISS). This consisted of communications and a control unit along with distributed sensing heads.

° Combustion Module-2 (CM-2)

The Combustion Module Facility for Space Shuttle SPACEHAB laboratory is a reusable modular combustion facility to investigate combustion processes in space.  It consists of the following subsystems: Fluid Supply Package, Video Cassette Package, Exhaust Vent Package, Dedicated Experiment Processor Package, Video Interface Package, Diagnostic Processor Package, Power Distribution Package and the Experiment Mounting Package.

° Spread Across Liquid (SAL) Fuel Pools

This is a sounding rocket experiment that studies flame spread across liquid fuel pools.  It was the first sounding rocket-based microgravity combustion experiment.
