SAMS on Display in Smithsonian Air and Space Museum:

ZIN Technologies, Inc. is responsible for the development and operations of the NASA Glenn Research Center (GRC) sponsored Space Acceleration Measurement System (SAMS), which is the longest running Near Earth Orbit Inertial Measurement system (Acceleration package) having flown over 20 STS, MIR and currently operating aboard the International Space Station (ISS). In 1994, one of the SAMS units was installed on the MIR Space Station to support U.S. and Russian microgravity experiments by measuring the microgravity environment during experiment operations. The SAMS unit on display was returned to Earth on STS-91 and transferred to the Air and Space Museum Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center where it is on display below the wing of the Space Shuttle Enterprise.
