NASA George M. Low Quality Improvement Award Semi-Finalist

NASA has selected as a semi-finalist for the 2003 George M. Low Quality Improvement Award in the Small Business – Product category. ZIN develops a variety of instrumentation and payloads that support university Principal Investigators or researchers. This prestigious award recognizes that ZIN Tech has significantly contributed to the success of the NASA and the Glenn Research Center’s mission.
ZIN performs on two contracts with GRC dealing with spaceflight and aerospace system development and operations. ZIN Tech operates under an ISO 9001-certified Quality Management System (QMS). The QMS and sustained outstanding technical performance were cited by Glenn as a key discriminator in ZIN Tech’s selection. ZIN Tech has been an active partner with GRC on more than 95 science payloads since 1990. Recently, ZIN Tech was one of the first developers operating science payloads on the ISS with a continuous presence since April, 2001. ZIN Tech supports a variety of programs including the International Space Station, Next Generation Launch Technology, Orbital Space Plane, Aircraft Safety and Communications, Power Systems, and advanced MEMS sensor systems.
