ZIN Technologies awarded contract for ORION Mechanisms and Structural Detailed Parts

Contract Awarded August 2007 - Under this contract with the ORION Prime Contractor Lockheed Martin, ZIN with our partner Infinity Technologies will manufacture, inspect and deliver mechanisms and simulator detailed parts to be used in early ground testing and the initial flights of the ORION Crew and Service Module. Detailed parts include those for the Launch Abort System interface, the solar array and high-gain antenna gimbals, the parachute systems, the environmental control and life support systems and the main engines to name a few. This contract will support initial vehicle ground and flight tests including PA1, AA1, ECT, PA2, AA2, Mechanical Qualification, AA3, STA, ARES-1, System Qualification, ARES-2 and ARES-3.
